3-Day Intensive Rising Strong™ Workshops
During this three-day Intensive we will engage in the Rising Strong™ process. We will come to a deep understanding of the physics of vulnerability, which is, if we are brave enough, often we will fall. We will learn what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of struggle gives us the power to write a daring new ending. We will become aware that struggle can be our greatest call to courage and the clearest path to a wholehearted life.
Our objectives for this workshop include:
- Engage in conversation about vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness.
- Provide access to information on emotion and how emotion is connected to behavior and thought.
- Awaken your curiosity about emotions – awareness and the ability to articulate – and build our understanding of emotions.
- Use the rising strong process at both the micro and macro levels to increase wholeheartedness in living, loving, and leading.
Kathryn Grooms is certified to lead Rising Strong™ Workshops.
I had the honor and pleasure of working with Kathryn while receiving my certification in Gestalt Therapy. I was drawn to Kathryn’s style because she models a direct, clear, compassionate and empathic approach to her work. She challenged me when she knew I was on the edge of growth as a therapist and offered a safe space for me to be vulnerable in new ways. With my new capacity for vulnerability, I was also open to learning about the work of Dr. Brené Brown. I became a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, which deepened my work with clients, my children and myself. The Daring Way™ and Rising Strong™ will transform the way you live, love, parent and lead. It’s an opportunity to recognize when you’re in the experience of shame, give you the tools you can use to be vulnerable and practice living a wholehearted life. Kathryn is an experienced therapist who gives her whole heart to work in any arena.
I know this process works. A few years ago, I took a big professional risk and took on a position of leadership I desperately wanted to excel in. It didn’t turn out so well. I found myself angry at myself, blaming others and feeling ashamed and writing the story that I HAD FAILED!
Through the Rising Strong™ process, I came to a deeper understanding of what was at play for myself during that time and how I participated in my fall. I came to deeper feelings of compassion for others and an ability to forgive myself. I developed the tools to write a new ending that has supported me to move forward with greater self-awareness and greater confidence and to continue to take risks.
About Rising Strong™
Since Daring Greatly was published, Brené Brown’s team has received emails every week from people who write, “I dared greatly. I was brave. I got my butt kicked and now I’m down for the count. How do I get back up?” What do the women and men who have successfully staggered to their feet after having fallen and found the courage to try again have in common? Every one of them worked through some form of the Rising Strong™ process. I hope you will join me to learn how to rise strong as well. Further information is available at www.thedaringway.com.
